Aachener Cafe Haus in Aachen

You must have visited this place when you visit Aachen.

We celebrated our wedding in a small group in the form of breakfast in the Aachener Café Haus and were very satisfied. The breakfast was delicious, varied and everyone was more than full. In addition, the staff was very friendly. I can and will gladly recommend the Aachener Café Haus to others.

Our order was exchanged, but the service is so nice. You don't get angry for long ...

The service is nice, but difficult to understand and takes a little too long. The quality of the goods is not as good as expected. Unfortunately the cafe is not really clean either.

My first visit was unfortunately disappointing. The espresso was not enjoyable. Bitter, watery .. I let it stand.

The cakes are very good, the selection is rather small. For the cakes 4.5 stars. The coffee was not to our taste, however. Coffee, cappuccino and latte macchiato were ordered. All tasted clearly too thin. Reminded me of bad filter coffee.

Absolutely fantastic cafe in downtown Aachen. We had an extensive breakfast here, combining a cold cut breakfast and a sweet breakfast for a common brunch. Delicious cappuccino with it and it can only be another great day. The cake selection is impressive too. Hygiene measures are well implemented and the service is very friendly and dedicated, just a real pleasure.

Best cake in town! If you like cake, here you find all kinds. You can also order cake to take home. Everything fresh and high quality!

Nice place! Coffe is normal taste. But the tarte is delicious. But you should pay by cash. The atmosphere is nice. The coffee tastes like coffee from a basic machine. The cake is a typical European style. The cake is acidic or contains a lot of special spice.

Great cakes in a cozy setting

Very friendly staff, and cozy place for brunch at the heart of Aachen. Their filterkaffee is delicious! We haven't tried the cakes but they all looked freshly baked and tasty. We had a late breakfast for min. 2 people: abundant ingredients, and when asked to substitute meat with vegetarian options (cheese) they did it without any problem. We suggest to book a table on Sundays, as the place is usually full, mainly locals but also tourists.

Best place for drink great coffee and eat delicious cakes 😋 Prices are deserving for nice tastes and atmosphere.

The coffee was "OK", the cake was "OK", the team was vastly understaffed. I waited 15 minutes for paper towels at one point. Despite the place not even being full, because the entire first and second floor were served by a single waitress who was only occasionally aided by one of the kitchen staff. The place definitely has cute looks and a great location especially on the upper floors watching down on the busy alley, but when you dont have the staff to operate all 3 floors on the 27th of december then you gotta make an executive decision to close one of the floors. That's unfair to the staff and worsens the experience for customers.

No alternatives, no dairy free milk, not suitable for open minded people.

Normal coffee, the cakes are fine and fresh but the portions are unnecessarily large. On the other hand, the lady was very rude towards us, for no apparent reason. I offered to pay with a card, she firmly declined, and when we payed with cash she did not even want to say bye but she made a very obvious grimace on us. Maybe because we were speaking on English. Very disappointed.

Nice place, good food and coffee. My only criticism is that it is extremely loud.

Wait staff was not great and took tip without asking!! Ordered tea and apple strudel. The tea was good but small and no refills on hot water. The apple strudel was more like a pie than a traditional apple strudel.

Old cafe in the city center. At lunch, a lot of retired people, habitues :) Specializes in homemade cakes. Tasty, large selection (on the 1st and 2nd floor different cakes!). Large portions. The price for such a portion is good. Latte with a good elastic foam. The waiter on the second floor is very pleasant, service is fast. In addition to the cake, they ordered a potato soup with salmon, tasty, a lot of salmon. Soup like homemade. I will come here again to try other cakes! Another chip - the old glass elevator, you can ride. Very atmospheric. Recommend.

The waitresses are really nice and friendly and the cakes are awesome. A good place to truly appreciate the kafe kuchen 😊

This cafe is right in the middle of town - great location. The building itself is very interesting - the cafe is split over three floors with almost all tables being situated at the windows, allowing views over the surrounding streets and old houses. The gold and glass lift in the middle is rather different. I would suggest that this might be more a cafe for eating cake - we didn’t try it ourselves but the breakfast we had was nothing special. The quiche lacked flavour and another table whilst we were there, complained that their soup also lacked flavour. However, there were many locals who seemed to also be regulars, so something must be good! Prices totally fine for the fact it’s so central. The staff... a little over friendly and enthusiastic.

Must taste Its a cauzy cafe in the middle of old city, they have a great variation of super tasty cakes , they have breakfast and amazing intense coffee, if your visiting u have to drop by , one important thing , the staff is really friendly there

The best Apple Strudel in Aachen! With its attractive exterior architecture and conventional but modern interior decoration, the Aachener Cafe Haus is the ideal place to have a snack or pause among the many cultural proposals of the city. The service is very friendly. The cakes are delicious!

Friendly for tourists, ideal for a quick lunch

The cake, coffee and tea is very good at this place, but it was not possible to use a bankcard for payment. This made paying quite stressful since we litterally had just enough money with us to pay everything.

The best spot for coffee and a pastrie. Friendly staff make you really feel welcome!

Can sit inside or out but advise booking if you want an evening meal. The day we visited, a Sunday, we had an hours wait for food, which we enjoyed when it eventually arrived at the table. It was mostly booked on this day. We had visited earlier in the afternoon just for a drink and liked the character of the place so booked for dinner, which turned out to be sensible.

This is the best place for coffee and cake I have ever been to. Highly recommended.
